We recently returned from a relaxing 4 night break at coastguards lookout cottage with our Old English Sheepdog. The cottage was in a rural location in jury's gap which is located at the end of camber sands with a dog friendly beach only a few yards away. It was a short car trip into camber sands which has an excellent sandy beach with sand dunes, which is dog friendly until the season begins in may. The cottage was nicely furnished and well equipped. There was a lovely 'welcome pack' upon arrival - 'bottle of wine, milk and a yummy chocolate cake'. The cottage was approx 5 miles from the town of Rye, which was very quaint. Rye is also dog friendly and we found a lovely pub 'The Ship' and also a very nice dog friendly cafe just around the corner from the pub. Although the weather was extremely cold when we visited there were lots of nice walks in the location.
