We were recommended this eatery by the owner of the accommodation we were staying at. Arriving at after 1.30pm and the kitchen closing at 2pm, we were not too late for a light lunch. Food came out on a warm plate, which was great to keep it hot. Location had plenty of parking and visually a relaxing environment to enable a casual lunch. Highly recommend this eater.

My first visit to NZ, and my first trip to the surf shack. What an amazing burger they serve. Just as it is no frills. Good portion and great service. It was well worth the 3000mile trip

I grew up in Waihi Beach & come back to visit my parents regularly. Today we went to the surf shack & despite being crazy busy, the service was 10/10, the food was exceptional & the environment was so lovely to be in. I would recommend the surf shack to anyone 🙌 can’t wait for the next visit.
