My husband and I and our 19 year old triplets spent two weeks on Sint Maarten. At the end of the trip, we decided to charter a yacht for a night and two days. Once we calculated the cost of a ferry ride for five adults to Anguilla and a day snorkelling to see the turtles for abit more we got to do what we wanted and had the boat to ourselves.
A few of us were not sure about sea sickness but we took pills before and at the advise of our fantastic Captain Stefan, we ate a good breakfast abs we were all fine. We had two gorgeous sunny and hot days and we sailed around the Island of Anguilla . Stefan treated us like kings and queens rushing to pop a pillow under my head, making us his famous rum punch , fluffing the beanbag on board to a comfy position. He was a good sport wearing the pirate hat my son brought on and hoisting the pirate flag that we brought along too. Well it was a pirate towel. We stopped at lunch at this tiny Island to a wonderful lunch if the freshest fish ever. We snorkelled in the bluest of waters often being the only ones there. We saw a turtle while snorkelling, snorkelled in a cave and a few of us who were brace enough went cliff jumping with Stefan leading the way. We anchored down at night Ina cute bay and took the dingy to shore to eat dinner. We never saw our shoes for two days!! Sleeping was surprisingly comfortable and very little
Movement from the boat. Waking up to the quiet and still waters was heavenly. You cannot help but be super relaxed while in the boat. Plenty of drinks abs snacks kept us going. An incredible experience and one. I would highly recommend.
