“Great Location”

Cottage has a great location in Kettlewell, close enough to walk to the local shop and pubs. It has three spacious bedrooms (although the twin room was too pink for our teenage son!), two living rooms and two bathrooms.

The cottage isn't easy to find in the dark, and is only signed at the rear of the property where the parking space is.

Although in need of some updating the cottage is nevertheless very comfortable.

Our only truly negative comments were that the kitchen table (the only table to dine at) is very small and rather a squash for four adults and an older teenager. Perhaps a dining table in the downstairs sitting room would be useful? and also there was a lack of glasses - only 3 wine glasses and similar amount of tumblers.

Overall the cottage suited us for the weekend.

Delightful little cottage, very well kept and situated around other similar cottages. The wood burning fire is easy to use - instructions are provided. Janet, the owner, was very efficient and helpful, catering to our needs despite the short notice booking.

The village is very quiet, with welcoming tea rooms and pubs. Ample walking routes around the village and a nice view in all directions. Would thoroughly recommend and hope to visit again.

“Perfectly charming”
Reviewed 8 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We stayed in this cottage for the weekend when attending my son's wedding. It was absolutely perfect for all our needs. We found it so much better to get changed for the wedding there than in a cramped hotel room. There is everything you could possibly need. The locations is about a 5/10minute walk from the village. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking. I will stay here again for a longer period next time so that I can enjoy it in a more relaxed situation. Janet, the owner, is very efficient and everything from picking up the keys to the instructions for the door code went like clockwork.

“Excellent Cottage and Location”
Reviewed 13 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Renar Cottage was outstanding in many ways. Very well equipped. Perfect for our elderly father who had his own ground floor accommodation. I also stayed with my sister and teenage niece. Bedrooms and bathroom immaculate. Location excellent, so picturesque. We stayed during Scarecrow Week, which was well worth it, although busier than normal. Would recommend Kings Head pub, excellent food and friendly staff. This is my 3rd stay here and would definitely return again. Thank you Janet!

“Lovely setting, well-equipped cottage”
Reviewed 1 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Renar Cottage is well-situated for a walking holiday in the Yorkshire Dales in the quiet village of Kettlewell with numerous walks at our doorstep. The cottage had good kitchen equipment, and the owner was immediately responsive to a minor problem we had. We were two couples traveling together, and there was more than adequate space for our things and for dining and hanging out in the evening. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.
