We had a very enjoyable stay at Villa Niki. Mihalis was a great host, giving us a warm welcome and being very helpful and generous during our stay. The house is a renovated traditional stone house with thick walls that keep the house cool (but it also has air-conditioning). The house is very attractive with exposed stone arches and is very well appointed (e.g. smart TV, dishwasher, washing machine and a good cooker). The good-sized double bedroom has french doors leading onto the front garden patio. The front garden with its shaded sitting/dining area looks south towards the White Mountains so the views are fabulous. The house is situated on a quiet loop just off the already quiet road to the ancient Aptera site. There are good tavernas just down the road in the village and there is yoga available just 100m away. Good beaches are a 10 minute drive away. Be sure also to visit Mihalis's restaurant/bar (Bohème) in Chania.
