This is a great little no-frills hotel that is very welcoming in the small town of Revo in the Italian Alps northwest of Trento. The proprietor Victoria and her daughter both speak English, which is a plus for many travelers. The hotel rooms are very basic but clean and wth modern bathrooms. Some rooms have 'Sound of Music' views of the Alps! The best thing about this hotel is the food! The son does the cooking and it is incredible! You can get meal packages with your room or just let them know you want to have lunch of dinner. They do quite a brisk lunch business with locals, which tells you the food is good! The bar and outside seating area is also busy throughout the day with locals gathering there to have a glass of wine and shoot the breeze. Revo is an ancient town with photo worthy streets and buildings (The church bell tower goes back to Roman times) and is very centrally located to take in the many sights and activities you can do in the region, including a tour of old castles, trekking in the mountains, kayaking on the lake nearby, taking ski trams to the glaciers and visiting cities like Verona, Venice and Milan, which are a doable drive. Best of all, by American standards, the rates for lodging and meals at this wonderful hotel are very reasonable to say the least! Highly recommended!
