We visited another Oblu hotel earlier this year, and chose this resort for a last minute winter break. Having been to the Maldives before, we knew what to look for and we definitely made the right decision with Oblu Select Sangeli.

The key points of my review are:
- incredible hospitality and customer service
- beautiful sandy beach with a good vibe
- very clean and tidy in all areas
- exceptional housekeeping
- spacious and well maintained accommodation
- the environment and gardens are beautiful and always tidy
- the food was delicious and varied

Worthy of a more detailed mention are:

Staff are so polite and hard-working. You always get a smile and greeting, and nothing is too much trouble. They are forthcoming with their recommendations, and will stop and chat if you want to know more about something.

Housekeeping are exceptional, and you can rely on them making up your room (or doing the turn-down), and they seem to intuitively know your daily pattern. The rooms are spotless and tidy at all times.

The health spa is worth a visit, even if (like us) you haven't been to one before. Care is taken to choose the correct treatment for your inclusive session, and you feel like it's a proper bespoke session.

Food - where to start... The main dishes were varied and tasty, but the stations were all spectacular. The chefs are all keen to show their skills, and entice you with their demonstration skills. My favourites were the Indian station (naan breads baked freshly to order in a minute), the noodle-soup chef (the biggest smile I've ever seen) and the fruit/salad station (whips up some yummy combos). Watch out for the warm puddings - some lovely versions of British classics.

To all the others not mentioned above (from the staff who seat you at dinner, bar staff, waiting staff) and also the "behind the scenes" staff, a massive thank-you for making this a truly wonderful holiday.

Great island for a young family, kids 3 & 5, facilities are great and staff super friendly and always happy to help. Accommodation was really good, plenty of space for a family of 4 and we all loved the outdoor bathroom! Lovely beaches with good snorkelling around the island, dinner and activities were pre booked when you arrive and online check in means straight to room when arriving which is much needed with kids in tow, would highly recommend for anyone looking for a family friendly resort.

The hotel was great, our stay was very comfortable and cozy. We preferred the garden rooms for our child. It was priceless to leave your room and enter the ocean in 10 steps. The food was delicious. Especially the alacart restaurant Just Grill was a delicious experience. The reefs were great. A hotel that families with children can easily choose. The staff is friendly and helpful in every way. Especially SHERIF helped us in every way. 🤗 We were also happy that we could speak the same language (Turkish) with Sherif. Kyra, who was on duty at the bar, and Amir, who looked after our room, were also very nice people. I 100% recommend this beautiful and magnificent ambiance to everyone.
