The island was incredible, the staff were so friendly and welcoming with nothing being too much trouble. Sikdar, our house keeping staff, was amazing. He told us about the best place to snorkel, gave us loads of information about the resort and was so helpful. His towel art was the best I’ve ever seen! We felt so so looked after and cared for by everyone.

Exceptional holiday for eight nights at Oblu Select Sangeli, we couldn't fault a single thing during our stay.
We had a split stay and stayed for four nights in a beach villa, which was very spacious and had a superb outside bathroom area, beautiful secluded private garden area leading to an amazing beach front area facing the turquoise waters of the Indian ocean.
Second part was four nights in a water villa with private plunge pool and outside deck area giving sublime sunset views over the entire island. The snorkeling is very good from the water villa but this really excels when enjoying Sengali's private house reef which is located in front of the main pool / restaurant area, amazing marine life with countless schools of fish and also a few reef sharks and rays thrown in for good measure.
The activities included within the serenity package are excellent, we enjoyed a guided snorkeling tour (don't bother taking your snorkel gear with you, the equipment which can be loaned for free at the dive shop are a very high standard), sunset fishing excusion which was great fun ( I caught a shark which was very humanely released by the crew) two complimentary spa treatments (the massage and facial were both superb in a wonderfully tranquil venue) and two dining experiences at the speciality restaurants, Just Wok and Just Grill, both were delicious and of an exceptional standard.
The food at Sengali is excellent for an all inclusive package, the buffet restaurant offered great daily specials and were always delicious, breakfasts were also superb with great selections. Food can also be enjoyed at the adults only island by the pool area which was really nice, the pool was great and had a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.
The island set-up at Sengali is superb, there is as much or as little to do depending on your holiday agenda but it's the exceptional staff who really make a difference with their passion and enthusiasm to ensure the guests are having as best a time as possible. Every member of staff we encountered were delightful but special thanks go to Gita and Aria at the Spa ( fantastic treatments and very warm friendly atmosphere), Naanu and the great team at Just Grill/Wok (thanks for the creme brulee being available at both restaurants!) and Sikdar at housekeeping (I didn't find the octopus but I'll try to make the towel decorations left for us every night)
To summarise: as seasoned travellers this was one of the very best resorts we have ever stayed and cannot recommended highly enough. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and would love to return in the very near future, thanks to all for making our stay so special.

Our recent stay at Oblu Select Sangeli in the Maldives was made truly memorable, thanks to Chef Rahul's outstanding hospitality and culinary expertise. As an Indian couple with a 6-year-old child, we had specific dietary preferences and requests and Chef Rahul went above and beyond to ensure that every meal was not just delicious but tailored to our tastes.
Chef Rahul personally took the time to understand our preferences and prepared an array of Indian dishes that transported us back home while adding his unique flair. Whether it was a simple breakfast or a grand dinner, each meal was crafted with care and attention to detail. Our child, who can be a picky eater, especially loved the meals Chef Rahul prepared – he even created some fun, child-friendly options that kept our little one excited for every meal.
Beyond the food, Chef Rahul’s warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel valued and cared for. His dedication to fulfilling our every wish made us feel right at home, which is truly special when you’re miles away in a tropical paradise.
