Came here for a birthday lunch celebration and there is no doubt about it this is a lovely place to visit. I can only speak from my experience in that I had a lovely lunch and the service was superb. My only concern to be honest was the cost of the meal which by Olney standards is higher than average so I will only be able to visit on the odd occasion as there are other places in Olney just as nice and not so heavy on the purse and with bigger tables for two.
The cherry tree is creating a huge buzz in Olney but having read one of the reviews on here with the chef handling raw bacon and then handling a fresh salad without washing his hands makes me wonder if the management are addressing. I note there was no comment on that particular feedback which in all honesty is a hygiene concern. This will impact my decision to eat there again unless the management confirm and acknowledge this is in hand.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.

We are saddened that you found our food overpriced, we pride ourselves on offering the very best quality food and drink in a pleasant atmosphere. We assure you that our prices are justified due to the quality of the food we prepare, as we source all of our ingredients sustainably and ethically from award-winning suppliers: we charge more, because the ingredients themselves are worth more than your average gastropub.

The review regarding 'raw meat' was incorrect this was in fact smoked pancetta which is not a raw meat.

We look forward to seeing you again.
Kindest Regards,
The Cherry Tree team

Popped in for a family breakfast which was fairly good - although hollandaise with the eggs Benedict was more the consistency of mayonnaise.
The main issue was the delay in getting served - 30 mins from ordering to service in a room with only a few tables. Teas and coffees all consumed and was just about to walk out.
Nice waitress but no apology and as it’s an open kitchen you could sense its a stressy place to work.
We fancied the main menu, but if a small breakfast order takes over half an hour in an in busy restaurant - I don’t think dinner would be acceptable.

Nicely decorated and all staff seemed really friendly - let’s hope they can get their act together !!!

Many thanks for your feedback.

I am sorry to hear that your visit to us was not up to our high standard of service. We have only recently opened, so we are aware that there are a few teething issues. However, all feedback is very important, as this helps us with the training of our staff in areas needed in order for all our guests to enjoy their visit to us.

Hopefully, you will choose to visit us again at some point in the near future and we can show you our true colours.

Kindest Regards,

The Cherry tree

we have just come back after having sunday lunch at the cherry tree.ive passed this place every day on the way home from work so decided that when it opened we would try it out.im delighted that we did.the ambiance inside is really lovely and its nice to see your food being cooked.we went quite late on sunday afternoon but it was even packed then.i really couldn't fault the service, we had such a lovely waiter nothing was too much trouble.the food was really good, the tomato bruschetta was very nice as was the soup, the slow cooked pork belly was one of the most delicious mains i have had for some time, the only negative would be it came just warm it would have been superb if it had been served piping hot.the dessert of passion fruit and lemon mess was yummy and the crumble was very nice.

First time at the new Cherry Tree, open minded despite mixed reviews from previous diners. Menu had a lot of choice with a good selection of specials to cover all palettes and appetites. Food nicely cooked and presented, all very tasty. Very busy as it was Sunday lunchtime but seated on time and service was good. Decor is tasteful and suits the building. Would recommend it and also would go again.
