“Beautifully cosy, beamed cottage with wood-burning stove in quiet location”
Reviewed 5 January 2012 for a stay in December 2011

I really enjoyed my stay at the cottage (part of a group of four around a courtyard) at New Year 2011. I visited with friends and the location (a short drive from the motorway) was easy to find and get to.

The area is gorgeous with waterfalls to the North of the cottages and the Gower to the South (west?).

The cottages were super cosy (especially ours which had a wood-burning stove) & very clean. Even though you're close to some towns (and all the amenities including shops), you feel like you are right in the country.

The owners were also really helpful and friendly - there is even a guide to the area written by a family member in each of the cottages which describles the history of the place too. There is also a detailed map of a farm walk and lots of detail about other activities (especially when it rains...it is South Wales!)

I would recommend this place (and any one of the cottages) to friends or family.

Also there is a large TV (with DVD player) which was great for watching DVDs...and a washing machine - good for all those muddy walks!

It was perfect for a new years with a group of friends and I'd love to go back when the sun is shining!

“A haven of peace and tranquility”
Reviewed 3 January 2012 for a stay in January 2012

We were a mixed group of twelve family and friends who stayed in three of the four farm cottages to see in the New Year. The setting is perfect; easy access from the M4 for the Bristolians and the A465 for those of us travelling down from Cambridge yet sufficiently distant from the larger towns to feel splendidly isolated. The cottages are very roomy and equipped, decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The 'oldies' were billeted in the single story cottage which suited them fine but everybody came over to ours for a party to see in 2012, including David and Rachael, the farmer and his wife, who were keen to tell us about the history of the place. On New Year's Day, the group split up to do local walks and visit the stunningly beautiful Gower Peninsula, which is an easy drive away. The weather was not the best but it didn't seem to matter as the atmosphere of the place more than compensated. We are already looking at a return visit in the summer and there was even talk of breaking our golden rule and returning to the same venue to see in 2013.

The owners are very keen advocates of sustainability and we were impressed with their work so far in terms of solar electricity generation and recycling. They have exciting plans to further develop sustainable tourism at the farm and we wish them well with their schemes.

We are more than happy to recommend the location to others.

David, Camilla, Liz, our parents and our friends.

“Idyllic and Enchanting place”
Reviewed 3 January 2012 for a stay in December 2011

I stayed over New Year at the holiday cottages. It was the perfect start to 2012. The cottages are extremely comfortable and warm and the setting is idyllic. The owners are so friendly and helpful; they are always there to help.
I would very highly recommend these cottages to anyone.
