What a great find for lunch... a few hundred metres off state highway 6. Well signposted. A wide selection of delectables and wines and beers

We stopped here on the way to and from Doubtful Sound and ate both times. Good food, well cooked, well presented at a fair price. The Flyer is in a nice location, it’s spotless and the staff very pleasant. It’s worth the five minute detour, too good to miss

We ate here for lunch while on a tour of New Zealand and couldn't be more pleased. The food, the staff, and the building were all delightful. I sure hope they are able to get the trains fixed and set up for tourist as it would be a shame to lose such beautiful bits of history.

Overnight stay in Kingston and of the two choices of places to eat we opted for here. Not fancy but a nice vibe, very relaxed and clearly well patronised by locals. Half the area is more a pub, the other half a dining area. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Pics of the historical Flyer you can read about.
We both ordered fish - blue eyed cod- and chips with coleslaw- all of it delicious!! Wednesday night was Pizza night which would have been a cheaper alternative and they looked good too, but glad we had the fish and chips.

My friend and I did a wee road trip from Queenstown for a catch up over coffee, nice wee spot! Kingston is a cool place for a bike ride or hike up to the lookout. The coffee is great and the staff are super friendly.
