Fantastic little joint. Good service, big portion sizes and affordable. The fish and chips came with the biggest piece of blue cod I've ever seen.

We stopped in for hot drinks and a snack in the morning. The drinks were delivered quickly and came with the most delicious home made marshmallow. Lovely setting and good train memorabilia to look at on the walls if you are interested.

Whent in as a spot break from Queenstown. There was only 2 other people there. It was a cold and rainy day so it was a perfect place to have lunch. The place is decorated with pictures of the steam strain the flyer is called. There are psintings you can buy and history objects of back then. You also have alot of opportunity to read the history about the place. There is a fireplace as well for warmth and the view you get from your table is of the gorgeous Lake Wakatipu. As the restaurant is located right beside boat ramp. Good and friendly staff. Had the blue cod and chips which cost $30 it was a large meal. The blue cod was fresh and very big portion. I was so full. Had a latte which the staff suggested to put in takeaway cup. As it was a quick stop for me. Sorry did not get very good pictures which I now regret but it was a cold day on December. But it is a must do if want to learn about the history of Kingston.

Loved the off the road venue. We were a small group and made this stop for lunch. Excellent food and comfortable local. Not sure of cost as it was included. T u is is in a small town where they were once running a small steam engine for short trips. Sounds like it has stopped but there were 2018 articles that they would like to get it going.

Hi Linda, glad you enjoyed. Hopefully they will get the train up and running again soon, they are working on it and they hope to have it running this year all things going well.

Nice location at the corner of town. Quite expensive, but had lots of ambience. Situated next to a locomotive museum.
