Great 2 night stay in these quirky Silos. The Silo was immacutely presented and well equipped. Lovely little deck to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The only downside is that there is no restaurant in the immediate vicinity that serves dinner or if there is, we couldn't find one.

We only stayed here one night. If you are looking for somewhere a bit quirky to stay then this is it. Everything has been very well thought out and there is pretty much everything you could need in the room. Only thing if you could be picky was the location maybe. It would be cool if they were off the main road in a slightly secluded area but thats just me.

We stayed here 5 years ago and came back yesterday for a last minute stay. The silos are still in excellent condition and are well equipped for short stays. Comfortable bed, excellent books in the book exchange and a cafe either side. The photo is a view from the upper balcony of silo 6. The site manager, Rob, is very helpful and friendly.

This place is well thought out in its construction and makes for a unique and interesting experience. It has pretty much everything you need for your stay and the place is clean and the bed is comfortable. My only observation would be whether it would be hot in summertime as there are a couple of fans to keep cool rather than aircon.

My partner and I stayed in SiloStay for one night on our way through to Akaroa and we were BLOWN AWAY by how incredible this place was. It was so perfect as a little nest for my partner and I, and we loved the ingenuity behind it. The silo was nice and cosy and clean and we thought the idea was so awesome and quirky. Would definitely recommend to anyone, perfect location to stay in to explore the local area too as it's close enough to both Christchurch and Akaroa!

I booked this as it was quirky and unlike nothing else around the area. So pleased that we had this experience. Loved the concept and the design. Small things like using a tool chest for the kitchen cabinetry were really cute. Loved the viewing hatch. Whoever wrote the compendium did a. Dry good job and it’s very funny.
