Like a mill pond at high tide, great for hiring a SUP or kayak, then great breakers and caves to explore at low tide when it's more suitable for surfing. Beautiful, interesting place.

Popular in summer but not packed. Restaurant, cafe and paddle board hire are available. Water is shallow for a long way so good for small children.

I came here with my family as I'd read great reviews. However, I couldn't believe how smelly and dirty everything was. Lots of flotsam and jetsam washed from the tide and yes, dog poo as dog owners couldn't be bothered to clear up after their dogs.

We walked from llanes to the cliffs above poo about an 8 mile round trip. The bay looks nice and sheltered and the beach was nice and sandy. The walk is an easy stroll over the cliffs and through residential areas.

An excellent place to walk around on a do-nothing holiday.. the cliffs offer a fantastic sea view, and the beach is quite calm even during high tide.. would be a good idea to pack some snacks especially when moving with kids as the beach side restaurants looked too sleepy when we visited.. but all said, a fantabulous place of scenic beauty not to be missed when in the Asturias..
