We had such a lovely stay in this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the standard of cleanliness is very high. The swimming pool is beautiful. Food highly recommended. If you are looking for a relaxing or exploring vacation this is the place. It is surrounded by mountains and Pompeii and Naples are easily accessible. A delightful place to be.

What a fantastic break, one weeks half board at the most friendly and welcoming hotel we have ever had the pleasure to stay at. The staff are exceptional nothing is too much for them in order to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast and evening meals are varied without being boring, the rooms are very clean in fact it was difficult to find a fault with anything. Overall the whole experience was unbeatable.

We have stayed at the Grand Hotel Telese ten times starting in 1996. We love it. A wonderful warm place. My wife loves the atmosphere from the grand staircase to the 14 foot ceilings. The staff was absolutely friendly and helpful. Whenever we expressed a desire to visit a local site they instantly mapped out our route and suggested places to shop and eat. The Hotel bar is a lovely place to gather in the evening. We have met some very interesting people staying at the hotel including the Italian Olympic Soccer team. Stay here. You will enjoy it.

We usually arrive in a group of ten to twenty cousins coming to visit their family in Telese and San Salvatore. The hotel handles all our arrangements. We have never had anything but a fabulous time.

Oh and there is a fantastic Gelato shop in Telese. We would meet our cousins from Telese and San Salvatore for dinner around 8 and eat and drink till midnight or later. Then before retiring to the hotel we would go by the Gelato shop for expresso and Gelato.

Telese is so much better than Naples or Rome. I have never heard of anyone having their camera or wallet stolen in Telese. In Naples and Rome you have to be constantly on alert for all the thieves and gypsies on the prowl. But in Telese you are safe.

Telese is also a very ancient city. Built on the 5,000 year old ruins of a Greek city. There are
also the remains of the Roman Gateway from 2,000 years old. You are also close to Caserta
where the ladies love to shop. Also visit the coffee shop in the square of the neighboring town of San Salvatore. It is a trip back in time. You will feel like you have traveled back to the 1930s.
Great pastries too.

I highly recommend this hotel to all visitors from the U.S. See the real Italy.

Room Tip: Call, email or fax the hotel ahead of time to discuss the room you like. We liked the rooms on the 3rd floor. Very quiet.

The Grand Hotel Telese must have been "something" in its day. It is still a comfortable and spacious hotel today. I couldn't help feeling that I was the one out of sync with its chandeliers, romantic art, huge ballrooms and topiary, but I loved every minute of our stay. I only wish I had thought to pack evening clothes. I would have "dressed" for dinner. Next time.

The staff was vigilant and helpful. Our room was huge. The grounds included two soccer fields, tennis courts and best of all -- fabulous outdoor patios. We really enjoyed the spa with the therapeutic baths. My facial was just perfect.
