We stop here quite often, especially when on weekend cycling trips from Tawa etc. There are lovely panoramic views of Porrirua Harbour, terraces and gardens. The coffee is good, the cakes much to our taste with a good selection of gluten-free options for my wife. I like the small savouries they offer. We have not had the bigger meals here, so won't comment but they look okay. We have always found everything well-prepared and fresh. Can get busy. Our dancing group used the catering arm of the cafe (``Red Herring'') for a mid-winter dinner in Johnsonville, and everyone liked the food a lot; meaning we will probably use them again next year. The cafe staff are also uniformly cheerful.
