Easy-to-find and a friendly welcome. 30 minutes from downtown Nice. Clean studio with beds for two couples and a single. Elevator only took two people at a time (why?) Unfortunately internet wifi did not reach from the main building to our room. The sun blind and table outside were in a bad condition, and the decoration was well past its prime, the bin in the bathroom needs replacing but the shower was good; powerful and hot. Shampoo/shower gel was small open-with-teeth packet.
At night it became clear that the main road traffic noise reaches the room. The view in the morning was very picturesque.
Breakfast: Breakfast room decor (pink, pink, PINK) was somewhere between Barbie and Barbarella; it destroyed my ability to see pink for a few hours. REMEMBER YOU MUST COOK THE EGGS YOURSELF! No large spoons for cereal ?. The coffee was ok but lukewarm; the coffee/chocolate machine 'has character'.
Didn't use the gym facilities, but looked very good and there appears to be doctor, physiotherapist and masseur on the grounds.
In summary: a little disappointing, but fine for the one night we stayed and very convenient for Nice.

Room tip: test the Wifi first! perhaps the higher rooms have better view, less noise

We were guests at a wedding near by so we stayed at this hotel. The room was elegant and clean but with no-frills decorations. The breakfast was not bad for the price and the coffee was nice!there's a swimming pool an a tennis court if you feel like it..you better have a car if you stay at this place but it's quiet and not far away from nice (by car about 20 minutes)

I traveled with a school group with EF Tours and stayed in this hotel 1 night. Our room was in a separate building behind the building with the front desk. The first group went up in the elevator and came right back down and said it’s scary up there. The hotel hallways are dark and you have to push a button in the hallway to get light. You can use the dark winding staircase instead of the elevator, but again there is very little light. The room was larger than the average and the bathrooms were fine. The breakfast was fine with breads and cereals. Since we were with a group we were separated from the other guests and given the cheap breakfast. The other hotel guests were offered the meats and cheeses, but we were not.

Room tip: The rooms in the main building with the front desk were nicer.

This is not a flash place. The decor is semi updated but mostly somewhat tired. It is a long way from the centre of Nice. We had a car and used the hotel as a base for going to a number of places on the Riviera (Grasse, Cannes, Monaco). With toll roads nearby this was much easier than battling the traffic in Nice. We had the self-catering accommodation rather than a hotel room. It was a spacious area aimed at families, with a double bed and bunk above in one room and a king bed in the living room. The bed was comfortable and the small kitchen useful for making breakfast and light meals.

First impressions in the reception area are that you've selected a nice modern place to stay, but personally we would not choose to stay here again.

Note: We stayed just before peak season, for three nights.

Good Points:

Although situated next to a main road, this hotel offers a quiet refuge away from the hustle and bustle of the Nice city centre. Across the road (once we had found the underpass a little further up), the is a very convenient locally run train platform, which either can take you into Nice (about 30mins and about 11 Euro for 2 return tickets) or up into the mountains. We used this once to go into Nice, and although the train seemed to run a little late, it was a great way to see the countryside and have a few drinks in Nice.

The rooms were reasonable in size and fairly modern with A/C, TV and a balcony. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast (at additional cost) and an outdoor pool with separate kids pool. There is also an outdoor ping-pong table which we used a few times, although this overlooks a private garden next door. There is a restaurant set back from the hotel which appears to be run by a different management team, but the one night we ate there, the food was well presented and the service was good.

Bad bits:

On arrival (4.30pm on Sunday), we were told that no food was offered on a Sunday night, although a French traveller was seen to be given a cheese board the very same evening. After driving three hours to the hotel, we at least expected 'some' food to be available. The receptionist said no restaurants were open locally, and suggested a one hour round trip into Nice to get food. We eventually found a McDonald's 5 mins away.... good old Maccy Dee's!!!

We had Wasp's on our balcony, burrowing into the walls. This prevented us from making use of the balcony, which was furnished with two old chairs and a rusty old table.

The over-priced buffet breakfast was seemingly been served by a swarm of ants on the worktop, crawling over the bread etc. Not nice.

The hotel seemed very understaffed, the receptionist was also the bar tender, the cleaner and the waiter. He was a very nice gentleman, who was working whilst ill, but clearly this hotel needs more staff - or a more sympathetic manager at the very least.

The worst for us was this: The hotel was being decorated during our stay (see pictures). We endured the fumes of the paint and treading over paint covered dust sheets in the hallways, along with loose lighting etc. Considering this was just before peak season, surely this work should have either been carried out off-peak - OR, we should have been warned about it, - OR we should have been offered some form of discount.

In summary, this hotel has got potential to be a family friendly retreat, but the owners have some issues which need addressing. We would not stay here again.
