It is an amazing place and just 100 kms from Bangalore. Roads are amazingly good while travelling to the same. After leaving the highway road gets narrow but good enough to drive. I was there on a sunny hot day that limits the us to reach all the parts of the temple. Temple is good and you will find peace.
Best time to visit is Winter or rainy season. Summer is not a good idea.
I didn't like the way all the small temples inside the temple are waiting for people to come and they ask for donation.
It is a good place to for a photographer to click some amazing picture.
NOTE: Always try to part car inside or covered parking. There are some people at the gate who will try to give you parking ticket. Don't take that and take the car to covered parking.

This place is just good to visit once. Fully commercialised. Priests are just o loot you.

We started from Koramangala(Blr) at 9:30 AM. Took the Kolar toll route via kolar bypass.
NH route is superb. Its around 60 KM.
Then around 30 KM SH. That is also maintained good now. Except last 10 min ride, which has to many path holes.
Reached temple at before 12 Noon.
Covered Car Parking costs Rs 30. Good enough for a covered parking.
Then entry fee is Rs 20.
Then you have to go through 3 temples to reach the main compound. All the way you can view Shivlingas. The priests will almost force you to give donations. And there is no way to skip these 3 temples.
After this you reach the main compound having a huge Shivalinga and Nandi statue.
At the exit there are multiple shops and restaurants with reasonable price.
We left at around 2:40 PM.

I went to Kotilingeshwara Temple. Kotilingeshwara Temple is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Kotilingeshwara temple is a modern marvel that is still developing with the efforts of devotees. About eleven small temples of various deities are constructed within the premises. It is great place to go.

This place is good for a one-day visit. However, the temple is commercial and you can feel priests and staff waiting to loot you. Parking and facilities are not maintained well. This place was most popular before 6-7 years but it has lost its charm and does not attract many tourists now because of poor maintenance.
