“Good value bungalow in less touristy part of Lanzarote”
Reviewed 9 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We booked a weeks stay to try and escape the dreadful English weather, as 1st time visitors to Lanzarote we weren't sure what to expect, either from the location or the accommodation. We booked through Casamundo, and they were really efficient, even forwarding the weather forecast for the week.
Ideal location midway between Arrieta and Punta Mujeres with a good selection of reasonably priced restaurants, and a couple of small supermarkets, enough for basic provisions. There is a road between the bungalows and the sea but this is fairly quiet and we didn't find it intrusive.
The bungalows are spacious and the kitchen area is a good size, however the range of pots, pans and crockery was a bit limited. For 2 of us just making breakfast and light lunches it was ok but if there were 4 intending to fully self cater I think this may present some difficulties. The cleaner came in a couple of times in the week to empty rubbish and replace, bath, hand and tea towels. These were all well laundered, if a little thin! We had a minor problem with the shower running out of hot water, but this was resolved whilst we were out for the morning
The pool and the grounds were always clean and tidy and there were plenty of sun beds on the area surrounding the pool.
Pilar was the on site contact and whilst we didn't see her everyday she was very keen to stress that we could contact her by phone or email if we had any queries. Her English is very good, which is a bonus as our Spanish is very limited!
We thought the bungalows were excellent value for money, we loved Arrieta, and the surrounding area and we plan to return for a break next winter.

“Breathtaking, perfect location, immaculate surroundings.”
Reviewed 17 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

Fantastic location, staff are friendly, efficient and keep the place spotless. Perfect touch was a bottle of red wine with a bow around it on New Years Eve waiting our return.

Would book again in the future, I'd quite happily spend months here.

All of the restaurants in the village are excellent, and amazing value for money. Worth a walk to Punta Mujeres for all of the little natural swimmings pools, possibly the best part about this side of the island.

The village shop had a large selection, (although the villa didn't have a oven) :) Not that you need one as it's just as good value to eat out.

Caleta Campos bungalows are situated in the quiet resort of Arrieta. No karaoke, full English breakfasts,or Englih pubs. There are twelve beautifully appointed and spacious bungalows overlooking the large swimming pool and the sea with maid service on alternate days. The manager Senora Pilar Armas is charming and helpful, and the majority of the restaurants are first class.

“Excellent to disconnect from busy every day life”

We really enjoyed our stay at Caleta Campos. The location is, simply, outstanding and it has all that is needed to disconnect from busy every day life: tranquility, excellent views, the sound of waves breaking in the background, ...

We found the bungalows to be very clean and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including wireless internet connection. There was maid service 5 days a week and towels were changed every 3 days. However, we were informed they could be changed more frequently if desired.

The complex has a very familiar feel to it, probably because it doesn't seem to have many employees. In fact, we found ourselves comfortably talking with the Manager on more than one occasion, and for us, that is a great advantage. It gave us the feeling that they do care about their guests, and that they will take into consideration any comments or suggestions made by them.

The small village of Arrieta had, to our surprise, a significant number of restaurants serving food of the highest quality. It goes without saying that fish was their specialty. Some of Lanzarote's most famous tourist attractions are located in nearby areas, so it is easy to get some sight-seeing done without much driving, although given the island's size, distances are no inconvenient.

We would truly recommend Bungalows Caleta Campos to anyone looking for a place to relax, with local character and far from the crowdiness of typical tourist areas.
