Incredibly rude service. Was meeting 2 colleagues for coffee and was asked to move on if we weren’t eating. They could have asked us to simply move to a smaller table, which we would have done gladly. Rather they accused us of using them like an office (we had been there less than 10mins, waiting for another colleague to arrive for coffee). Have never been treated so rudely. Won’t be returning and would recommend going elsewhere

Not small child friendly. Went for an early lunch with my mum and 10month old. Found a highchair with no tray, which is fine but the table was at my sons chin level so not thought through when they purchased them. My son was playing with the table number and I was rudely told to 'put it back in the table holder it's not a chew toy'. It was a plastic number, there was no way he was going to damage it. Our food was bought out which was not cheap I must add, and when I chopped up some bits of pumpkin for my son and put it on the table in front of him a plastic plate was quickly bought over - anyone that's ever had a child would know that that would end up on the floor in 10split seconds but the waitresses seemed annoyed when I said not to worry. My son then sneezed and banged his head on the table because of the height of the highchair which caused him to cry from a fright and the looks we received from behind the counter were disgusting. No guests around us seemed bothered at all but the staff were horrid. I left so quickly because I was nearly in tears over the experience leaving my poor mum to clean up because we felt we would get told off if we didnt. Was ashame because the food was actually quite nice. Babies are just little people and are still learning and if we don't give them the chance then they never will so I'm just one person but I know me and my wider family will not be returning after such an experience and such a wide selection of baby friendly cafes in Havelock. I would have spoken to you about your attitudes upon my departure but was pretty upset by your treatment- we felt like the entire time we were being watched to be told off about something.

Please don't go to Wright and Co if you're thinking about opening up your laptop!!! The extremely rude owner/manager made me move to a different table because I was taking up a valuable table for paying customers, and "i'd only ordered a coffee" (his words), I reluctantly moved and then proceeded to work and order another coffee and croissant. A few hours later in front of people, he came over and said "You need to leave now, this is a restaurant not a work station, he unplugged my laptop and wouldn't leave me alone until I packed up my belongings and left. Disgusting behaviour for what is otherwise a nice cafe! I won't be giving my business to this man every again!

The food in this place is quite nice but eye wateringly expensive for what you get. A side of spinach was $6.50 and then I was really unimpressed when they wanted to charge me for HOT WATER 😳 really?! A bridge too far. When I brought it up to the owner she fired up immediately instead of explaining her policy calmly. Thanks but no thanks can't recommend this Havelock north eatery with so many other options around.

I accompanied 5 visitors/friends to a mid afternoon catchup at Wright and Co last week .Some members of the party arrived 10 minutes early and explained that they were waiting for the remaining members to arrive. Those members duly arrived within 15 minutes. During the waiting time the Manager accused the early members of using his café as a 'meeting place' despite their earlier explanation. By the time the remaining members arrived the Manager was ordering the full group of 6 to 'get out' in very harsh tones. The café was only about a third full, so there was no pressure on space. An unbelievably unpleasant experience !
