If you’re visiting Hawke’s bay it’s a must. And if you live here and haven’t dined here, you must.

We had the most glorious dinner at St George’s. The food was pure art and the service wonderful. The tomato terrine was quite possibly one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. It was such a surprise as I don’t usually order vegetarian dishes. Thank you for such a memorable evening.

Exceptional lunch! If possible we highly recommend sitting outside under the grape vine arbor. Lovely setting! We were a party of three and opted for the five course tasting menu. Absolutely worth it. We didn’t see it on the menu, but one of us asked for wine pairings to go with the courses—a very fun addition. An all around great experience at a great value. Special thanks for accommodating shellfish allergies for one of us.

I have eaten at many restaurants in different countries and this one is a stand out. We had the 6 course tasting menu which we could not fault, absolutely superb as all produce is grown in the grounds. Highly skilled chefs who know how to treat produce and balance flavour. Above all what we thought was the value for money and size of portions are generous. We left feeling full and very happy. A great experience I highly recommend. Best in the Bay. We will be back soon.
