Beautiful candle lit setting and wonderful staff who are always happy to answer any questions and provide insight on what to get from their stunning menu.

Might I add, margaritas is a must if you’re 18+ my favourite definitely has to be the Livin da vida coca (Coconut Tequila with Lime Juice 😍)

Can’t go wrong with corn ships & guacamole to start - I absolutely love their corn chips. And even nicer with the raw fish 🐟 👌🏾

Tonight I had the fish taco 🌮 snapper was the fish and it was delicious. Not too small and not too big but just right.

And for desert I grabbed their deep fried chocolate and ice cream - special shout to our waiter who recommended it. The ice cream was soo damn good (i wish i had a tub of it) and you couldn’t fault the deep fried choloate a real nice option if you don’t want to be basic and get a churro.

Overall, Mamacita is a place i could almost eat at every night if I could. Such a diverse menu and can easily cater to everyone’s needs.

This is a really good find- great Mexican style small plates, excellent margaritas-, and sensible prices. Good service and a hot chilli vibe.

Was treated very rudely by staff, when one of us asked for a mint the very rude young girl serving us gave us a dirty look then slammed the bowl of mints down on the table. Took ages to actually be served, then the food came out in a very random order. Not impressed.

Went here after a recommendation from friends. Put at a table where we could barely see each other right by the toilet initially but asked to be moved and they were totally fine with that. Odd place to put a table. There was a large group nearby which is fine but as a result we got left to our own devices and only spoken to when the order was taken. Food was ok, nothing to write home about but a nice meal. We overheard the group talking about it being taco Tuesday but no one mentioned it to us or the fact there were any promotions on? Beer from Giant brewery was the highlight.

We picked this place on spec after reading the reviews and was pleasantly surprised. As it was a Tuesday they were offering 2 for 1 on the soft taco’s so we had four of them with $10 special sweet corn. The taco’s were all great but the corn had been sitting in hot water and had gone soft, watery and tasteless. The service was quick and efficient, so quick though that we were in and out in less than ½ hour – we’d maybe liked to have been out for a bit longer. With a classic margarita and a coke the bill was $50NZ so good value
