We went to Mamacita on a Friday night, was busy but we were welcomed to sit at the bar and have a drink, wait for table didn't seem long. The vibe is great, good warm ambience with lots of beautiful art on the wall.
Once seated, ordered and waitress was helpful, friendly, attentive throughout. Drinks were delicious - plum margarita especially! Food was tasty, great selection,and decent size, good for sharing. Spent about $30 on a margarita, shared nachos with table of 4, and 2 tacos (left very full!)
Visit every time I'm in Hawkes Bay & recommend it!

Fab menu, everything is tasty, well thought out and delivered. Great ambience. Lovely drinks. Great service. Crowd pleaser! Would recommend to all.

We walked in off the street on a Sunday evening. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The food and drinks we ordered were tasty and well priced. My only complaint is that our meals all came out at different times. Hubby had finished his main before mine and teenage son’s meals came out and then we waited longer for younger son’s meal to arrive...

We booked for a table of 12 friends and choose the $35 set menu . The food was delicious but can with large gaps in between. Our table was around a corner which was very awkward for speaking with the group. Food came in uneven portions which was hard to share around . Staff were very confused and delivered incorrect meals to the table. One waitress spilt a drink on the lap of one of our guests. We then asked the bill to be split between the group , each couple paid approx $130 each and then the last couple was charged $35? Not exactly fair between the group.
