We spent a couple of nights here just before Christmas 2020 and thoroughly enjoyed it. We dinned in one night having the 5 course Chefs dinner. It was actually 9 courses including the bread, the sorbet and the other bits and pieces. Each course was excellent but there was really too much food and I couldn't eat the last one - not to worry though my husband ate mine as well as his. There was a wine tasting to start and, this is a suggestion not a criticism, the wine may have been better matched to the food rather than served beforehand, especially if you had already had a drink in the bar before dinner.
The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable and the breakfast which was included in the tariff was good (better the second day than the first) but the best thing about the place was the staff who were exceptional in their efforts - there were more staff than guests which is always a bit of a worry.
It is not the cheapest place to stay nor is it near anything touristy but if you are looking for quiet and old world elegance it is perfect and we will happily go back.
