wow what an awesome meal that was. The Lamb was cooked to perfection, plenty of sauce and flavour too. Lamb Vindaloo and Lamb Korma....YUM

We stay in Havelock North for a few days two or three times per year, and our motel is directly across the road from this fine establishment. This time we were there in late June.

We normally get takeaway for our dinner, and this time was no exception – we prefer to eat “at home” as we can feel more relaxed.

I ordered online, a very easy process. We chose our favourite, Butter Chicken, which comes with rice. We also had a cheese and garlic naan each.

As always the meal was really delicious. We go for the “mild” hotness but you can choose several different heat levels as you wish. The cheese naan was superb.

Unfortunately due to a family illness back at home we had to cut our stay in Havelock North short, or else we would have had another meal from Great Chilli later in our stay.

We highly recommend this restaurant for either eat-in or take away. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Havelock North.

We only tried this Indian restaurant as all others were shut on the Tuesday evening. We really struck lucky. The food was very tasty and portions were reasonably sized. Would definitely revisit when we’re back in the area. Great for the veggies and the carnivores!

I think we have taken (Takeaway) now 3 times, and each meal has been amazing.
All the wonderful flavours are there.

Also the Staff are lovely to deal with

I totally recommend them.
