Food options from menu limited as some not available
Food ok, jus covered half plate!!!!!! Staff not enthused about being at work; money for value was not great and will never return!! Previous owners had a great mix and vibe going on ….. this place should be a bar only… very disappointed for our birthday group …. A huge amount of money with disappointment from all of group - who serves trivelli fish for an evening main!!

My friend and I were just passing through feeling peckish, and it was a pleasant spot for a late lunch. We shared a starter of the pork buns, which was tasty and just filled the spot.

A lovely little restaurant and bar in Havelock North. Lovely meals with a good range of options. Two of us had the pork belly which was delicious and another person had fish of the day which was accompanied which he said was perfect. Bar is at one end with a tv but not a bother for diners.
A nice informal and friendly environment and I will definitely go there again in the future.

Quite appalling in all honesty. A shocking lack of service. We waited an hour for food while it wasn’t busy, overpriced for the poor quality of food. Zero manners and a grumpy maitre d.

We were visiting from Hamilton and booked a group of 10 on Saturday night. We were put in the room right down the back. The room had a musty smell and the 'garden' had weeds growing through it. Not sure why we were put there when there were other tables available inside. Drinks were brought fairly quickly but we waited well over half an hour to get dinner orders in. We could see our waitress sitting down on her break eating dinner. She didn't look very happy. We ended up having to ask if we could order and another waiter came. We then had to wait about 45 minutes for food even though the restaurant wasn't busy. When we asked the waitress why dinner was taking so long, and pointed out the 9 year old in our group was waiting, she was indifferent and said we didn't say we wanted the kid to get dinner first. Isn't that common sense?

The food was average - not bad, not great. Clearly this place is understaffed and can't get good wait staff. The owner is perhaps not interested in providing meals and is more about selling alcohol to the late night punters. I should have heeded the other bad reviews before booking but I thought we would give it a chance. Definitely won't be back.
