Jackson's have absolutely awesome pies, plus a large variety of other cabinet food and breads. Always busy, it's a great place to meet friends, or to grab a takeaway lunch.

As always, lovely fresh bakery products. Great range - something for everyone. We take away - but can eat in. Everyone has there favourites - from old fashioned buns to new products and gourmet pies. I get hungry just thinking about it.

Set in the center of Havelock Village, Jacksons Bakery and Cafe is both a place to buy breads and cakes to bring home or a place to sit down and have coffee and cake or lunch (although you do have to wait sometimes for a table). They have lots of different breads, including organic breads, pizza bases and rolls, all preservative free. I love the pumpkin seed loaf, it's a hearty bread with pumpkin seeds around the outside of it, but I have liked all of the breads I have tried there. The meat pies are really popular with many people, but I love their vegetarian pie, with a creamy sauce and lots of yummy vegetables. I haven't tried any of their fancy cakes, as they are a little on the pricey side, but they look really yummy.

Something for all tastes, good brunch/lunch venue, pavement seating (minimal seating inside) and yes, as others comment - they have won many pie awards. They also have a great range of breads.

Award winning pies it may boast - however, if I ask for a sugar in my takeaway coffe, I don't ever expect to be pointed to a self service bar & told I can add sugar after the coffe has been made. If you are able to offer coffee, please acknowledge that sugar will caramelise & dilute better into the drink if it is in the cup as the coffee is extracted on top of it. Adding after milk has been added is just a time waster & also annoying. Perhaps I am pedantic over my coffee, but, it was more being told that it was out of the Barista's normal remit that was most annoying.
