Hotel room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Location was great to the downtown and was an easy walk to the Eatons Centre and restaurants. Will be back to stay.
Came to Toronto for a ball game and Pride parade.Had THE best vacation! We cannot rave enough about the staff at the Marriott Eaton center. Nicest, kindest, most helpful, professional staff. Phenomenal service. We’ll definitely be back!
A great location in the centre of Toronto. On arrival after midnight, the staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much and even when I went and asked for power adapter as mine weren’t working they were more than happy to help out. I came across a number of staff all throughout my stay and they were all really friendly and d helpful. The room was a great size, very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I had an amazing meal at Trios, the seafood pasta, when I travel I normally try a different place every night, this pasta was so good, I went back two nights in a row for it. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Toronto
My family and I spent three nights at this property and overall we were quite happy. The room was comfortable, although I would really prefer queen size beds to doubles. The staff was amazing. Absolutely amazing. And that would be the number one reason to come to this property outside of its centralized location. The thing that kept me from giving the property five stars was our air conditioner. I am very used to sleeping at night at 67° with low humidity. The air conditioner was not able to reduce humidity nor the air temperature as well as what I've experienced at most Marriott properties. This may well be an isolated incident and should not deter potential guests from visiting the property. That being said, if you like it cool in your room, check the AC first thing after you check in.
Some people may not consider my issue with this hotel not a worthy issue. I only gave a three out five because of the air conditioning. Most hotels cap the temperature for the thermostat and this hotel definitely does that. The issue is I don’t believe the cap temperature is actually the temperature of the room. Not only that but the room never reached the desired temperature! The whole point of staying in a hotel room is for the quality of sleep. It is proven that you need a cool room to get a good night sleep. Unfortunately this hotel doesn’t provide that. This being said the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. So if you like a warm room this is the hotel for you!
Dear kanata-pete, thanks for giving us a detailed review, despite the challenge you had with the in-room temperature you still think highly about the staff service and cleanliness of your room. Please accept my sincere apologies for the cooling issue. I do hope to see you when your travels bring you back to Toronto.
