We had an enjoyable stay at this property. Highlights included the room (King Deluxe, one of the better layouts I’ve seen for a non-suite hotel room and the aesthetic was in line with our preferences), the food offered at breakfast, and the in-house rooftop bar. We were however not very impressed by the bedding (cheap linens/towels and awful pillows - either too soft or way too hard) and the service. Sadly the service in particular is what prevented a five star rating. Service ranged from fine to non existent.
A few examples. When we arrived via car service on Saturday late afternoon, there was no assistance offered for our luggage. The servicing of our room was also wildly inconsistent, including failure to remove used ice buckets, lack of coffee/tea replenishment, and also missing glassware from our mini bar. Housekeeping was great about leaving water bottles in the room at the beginning of the stay, but that quickly dropped off as the stay continued. Nothing major, but just a lot of little hiccups that detracted from our stay since we would have to call down to request these missing items that should have otherwise been taken care of (for the record we did have twice daily housekeeping so this is not because we forgot to take down the DND sign or anything like that).
The staff we interacted with at the front desk and concierge were fine but the room service and housekeeping staff we had the displeasure of interacting with were one step away from being rude.
In summary, we would happily stay here again if the price was right, but this is more a high end full service property and not a true luxury property as experienced at other Park Hyatt locations around the world.
