While the hotel staff were friendly and strived to portray a good front, the services were unacceptable. Having special needs such as storing medications that need to be refrigerated and waiting in vain for the promised refrigerator is unacceptable. There are no longer ice machines on each floor and a request for ice also proved in vain. I would have stored the meds in the ice. The room had one towel and no wash cloth for two guests. Only right before checkout was I able to secure another set. Things happen. However, in business, especially when providing customer facing services, it is important to have a contingency plan for when things happen. Providing excuses does not resolve the issue. While I understand things happen, I am paying for a service that I did not receive. I was very disappointed as the hotel is beautiful. But beautiful accommodations without service is just as bad as bad accommodations with service. You need both.
