“Home from home”
Reviewed 2 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Our arrival after a long flight was uplifted by the warm welcome of Tony the owner of this property. We were given a guided tour and full explanation as well as a welcome pack of food set us for our Toronto experience.

The local amenities a gentle stroll away enabled us to unwind, eat and drink at leisure without a long trek back followed by that feeling of a home from home.

The easy access to Toronto downtown, the local history, the shared garden facilities and the outstanding hospitality shown by our host and his friends and neighbours is something to treasure.

“Best stay ever”
Reviewed 23 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

The apartment is a beautifully redone basement. It has all the amenities including washer/dryer. Sleeping arrangements were comfortable and clean. The place smells good :)
Communication was wonderful and Tony responded quickly to all of our queries before we reached there.
Location is great. We mostly drove but one evening we walked around and the neighborhood is lovely. It is safe and there are a good number of shops and restaurants around. Friday evening seemed especially lively given the number of pubs nearby.

We spent three night in this lovely apartment and words aren't enough to rank this place. Credit goes to Tony and Steve who treated us like family members. Cheerful people who live right there, upstairs. The fridge was stocked with bread, milk, eggs and orange juice plus many other condiments. There was tea/coffee and sugar. There was a bottle of wine and some chocolates too. Who does that? We had asked them about something available in grocery stores in Toronto and guess what, next day, Steve bought us what we looking for as a gift! The day we left they came down to say goodbye and brought us brownies and cinnamon rolls for the road.
Highly recommend this place to everyone and a big THANK YOU to Tony and Steve.

“Lovely apartment in Cabbagetown - great location”
Reviewed 19 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

The apartment is beautiful, really comfortable sofa and 2 wing chairs in the living room so you can sit and relax. The beds are great.
The kitchen is fully equipped. We really appreciated the milk, bread and eggs as well as all the condiments in the fridge.
It's a great location, transit is a short block away and there are all kinds of amenities in the neighbourhood.
Terrific place to stay.

“Home Sweet Home”

We've stayed in vacation rentals instead of hotels for several years now. From our initial contact with Tony through our stay in his charming apartment, this has been the best experience we've ever had.

Tony was always responsive and went out of his way to provide information about his neighborhood and recommendations before our arrival. When we arrived, the kitchen was stocked, and we were welcomed with wine and chocolates. On Sunday, Tony and Steve brought scones to us. Tony seemed to anticipate our every need. There could be no more gracious host.

We were sad to leave and have found our next destination anticlimactic after being spoiled by Tony and Steve.

“Cosy, Trendy Living in a Hip Neighbourhood”

From my very first email to enquire about availability of the rental to saying good bye all my interactions with the owner of this rental were friendly, positive and more personable that you get in most hotels..

The Cabbagetown district is worth a visit for its charm but this apartment is a delight to stay in, it is clearly lovingly decorated, and has all the facilities you need to make yourself a deluxe home from home, excellent wife, washing machine, dryer, good power shower (though very small), lovely galley style kitchen and comfortable living room with books on the area, local guide books and recommendations for restaurants in the area and further afield

Steve and Tony made us feel like long lost cousins with their warm welcome and had the lovely touch of a stocked fridge to welcome us, so after our flight from Dublin, we were able to have a cup of tea, buttered toast and there was even four cans of Guinness and a bottle of wine, good friends have not given us such a welcome.

We never really got the hang of the street car, bus and subway connections but if you did you would be central or downtown in a jiffy.

A lovely stay, a delightful and welcoming owner, Id happily recommend to family and friends
