5 STAR all the way to the TOP!

From check-in to the greetings each day in the lobby this hotel is classy and top notch. Absolutely fantastic location walking distance to downtown areas, event venues, the local walk/bike paths and or you can take local trains anywhere you want to go. We had an amazing stay at Hotel X. The Junior suite was very comfortable, great bed, with 2 tv's and the view. Did I mention the views. Restaurant Rose's and Valerie's were fantastic. Great service, and excellent food within an incredible atmosphere on the top floors of this 28 floor building. I almost forgot how perfect the roof-top pool is with it's incredible vast views. The hotel staff was absolutely fantastic at Hotel X. We cannot say thank you enough for the wonderful hospitality, professionalism and warm welcome the entire stay. A special thank you to the morning staff at Roses for helping us start off our day on a fantastic level each day. We will absolutely recommend this hotel and it's excellent staff and facilities. Hotel X also has a wedding venue, conference rooms and a large area for special events. The exterior/interior design of this hotel makes is stand out. Absolutely stunning!

Room tip: Check out what events might be happening in or around this hotel before you book. It can be a busy and noisy location for some people.

Scary experience

As a solo woman traveller, the experience of returning to my room and finding the door ajar, and someone else's luggage inside was traumatizing to say the least. I was given a new room, wine & free parking. Charges on my creditcard are still pending.

We understand how concerning it can be to face something like that, especially when traveling alone. As our Manager on Duty explained to you in person, the luggage was mistakenly delivered to your room by our team, instead of the neighboring one, and no one else had access to your room. Please rest assured that we take our guests' safety very seriously, and we can happily assure you that there was no safety issue to be concerned about. We arranged the room move for your peace of mind, and the wine and complimentary parking were offered as a goodwill gesture. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, and we're truly sorry for any distress this may have caused.

What a great hotel!

What a great hotel! Terrific amenities and an incredibly friendly, responsive staff. We were in Room 1116 and had a beautiful view back on to downtown Toronto. The room was clean, they provided water daily, the coffee machine in the room was a Nespresso, etc. We needed extra pillows and they sent them up promptly.

We ate at all three dining options (Cafe X, Roses and Valerie) and had a good meal or snack at each. The views from Valerie are gorgeous!

The only downside, which is small in my opinion, is the beautiful pool area is small and, therefore, they limit the number of persons who can use it at any given time. During summer, you make a reservation for a two-hour block of time there. But, the view is stunning and again, the staff are great.

We had no trouble getting Ubers/Lyfts. There is a shared bike rack right across the street. and the street cars stop nearby. In other words, we had no trouble getting anywhere. While not in the heart of the downtown area, you are so close that it is an easy walk, ride, or bike ride to get there.

We were here with family, ages 13-64, and we all enjoyed this stay. Highly recommend! And if we return to Toronto, this is where we will stay!

Hotel X good not great

Hotel is very nice and modern! It is close to the Budweiser Concert venue so perfect if you are going to an event there. There is not a lot else within a 10 minute walking distance and while you can walk several kilometers into downtown, easier to take an Uber which wasn't the most convenient. Our room also overlooked a festival that was apparently happening that weekend and there was a DJ until midnight both nights. It was very loud. Elevators are also very fast! The pool was crowded and much smaller than it looks online. There are reservations but I don't think they were enforcing people to leave after their two hours time slot. We had no room to sit when we were there as it was completely full (came up about 20 min into our 2 hour block). Weather was a little cool so we decided not to stay. Better management of the pool, letting guests know about the loud festival, and location to downtown would make this a 5 rating. If we go back for a concert would definitely stay here a night but other than that would pick somewhere closer to downtown or the harbour area.

Beautiful decor and service

Beautiful rooms, the bathroom was outstanding. The signage in the lobby could be more specific, tried to get a drink but didn’t ever figure out where the bar was located. Staff were amazingly accommodating. Will definitely be going back, may just become our go to hotel in Toronto. 10/10.
