Excellent

We had a excellant time at the Hampton Inn in St Catherines. It is located in a nice area close to outlet malls. There's a nice swimming pool and rooms that were very clean. We had a 3 pm check in on the phone app which worked excellent. The area is quiet. With complementary coffee.
Date of stay: May 2024
Room Tip: Large parking lot and large pet relief area.

This hotel is the gold standard by which all other Hampton Inns should be compared! It was fantastic. The location in the middle of St. Catharines and right off the QEW wasn't really close to anything special but it was central to anywhere you wanted to go. Port Dalhousie, Brock University, Niagara on the Lake, downtown St. Catharines, etc, are all a short drive away.

Breakfast was good, even for a free Hampton breakfast. Rooms & facilities were modern, clean, updated, and high quality.

I had to switch rooms in the middle of my stay and whether I was facing the QEW or the back of the hotel, both were very quiet. And while I did request the room change, Nikki at the front desk took care of it quickly and with a smile! In fact, all of the employees I interacted with were wonderful!

Without a doubt, I will stay here again when visiting St. Catharines.

My husband and I did an overnight stay at this hotel. We had concerns surrounding unclean/stained towels (please see attached pictures below). This was brought to the attention of management, as well customer service Erick who was very pleasant and receptive. I then spoke with, Jennie in Customer Complaints. Jennie initially had an air of being disturbed and after explaining the situation asked, what would you like me to do? This was very RUDE and ABRUPT, not offering any suggestion or resolution. She was uninterested, nonchalant, and responded along with a less than genuine appolgy. Breakfast was less than desirable ie: Sausages raw and foul smelling.

Room tip: We would appreciate sincerity and commitment to ensuring guest satisfaction.

Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. We deeply apologize for the issues you experienced with the linens and breakfast. This is not the standard we aim to uphold. Your feedback about our Hilton Customer Complaint and the breakfast quality is valuable, and we will address these matters directly with our team. We appreciate you letting us know and hope you’ll give us another chance to provide a better experience.

The hotel and our room were almost completely spotless. Kudos to the cleaning staff. Reception staff (Tyler) were friendly and helpful, even in the middle of the night (I don't remember his name or would give a shout-out). Breakfast was very good with a variety of options. If you're looking for oatmeal, get to the breakfast area early as by 8:30 a.m. it isn't as hot as desirable.

Thanks also to Francess, the front desk manager, for her help following our stay.

We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to the area. Very handy to the QEW and 406, but not noisy.

Second visit to this hotel. I've stayed here on one visit previously and found that this is an ideal base for the St Catharines / Niagara area. Free parking / Wifi along with a complimentary breakfast. The rooms are spacious and warm (particularly in the winter!) I'd be staying here again when visiting family and working in the area. Would highly recommend - approximately 15 minutes to Niagara Falls and (on a good day!) around an hour to an hour and a half to Toronto Pearson Airport. Ideally located along the QEW.

This is a very nice and comfortable, standard-issue Hampton Inn. It's conveniently located by the highway and isn't too far away from Niagara-on-the-Lake wine country. It's about a 15 minute drive to the closest winery, so take note.

Despite its name, the hotel isn't technically in wine country. If you are expecting a room that looks out on sweeping vineyards, you're going to be sorely disappointed. The hotel is located in a not-so-swanky area next to a Toys-R-Us, a Perkins, and a mall, with a view of the road. There are plenty of chain restaurants and places to grab food, but do not expect a fancy area. This is a place for simple, clean accommodations, but the rooms are overpriced for what you get.

Our standard King room was clean and smelled fresh, decorated with appealing and calming blue tones. The bathroom (shower only) was bright and spacious. We made use of the free breakfast (standard fare, nothing exciting) and appreciated the complimentary parking. The staff was friendly and welcoming, but we did not get any recognition nor upgrades for being Diamond members (except for the welcome snack crackers).

The free wifi worked well, and the small indoor pool was so adorable (really wish it stayed open later so we could've enjoyed a dip after a long drive).

I probably would stay here again if I happened to be passing through the area. It's a good, solid Hampton Inn.

Thank you Moviegal226 for your feedback. We appreciate your business and are always looking for ways we can improve our guests satisfaction. We are centrally located in middle of both Niagara-on-the-lake wineries and the Bench wineries which are located to our west which include St Catharines, Jordan and Beamsville wineries. We highly recommend visiting the Bench wineries as they offer an alternative to NOTL and the wine is uniquely different than what you would fine in the areas mentioned in NOTL. Our team is happy to recommend some wineries to visit in the Bench on your next visit. Thank you for staying.
