The staff is amazing

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 13 Jun 2022via mobile
We spent two days here exploring the Niagara on the lake wineries. The room is comfortable but what really makes this place stand out is the staff. We were here in November of 2021 and again the staff makes such an effort. This time we had dinner in the on-site restaurant and the food and Rebecca were amazing. Definitely if you are in the area stay here a day or a couple of days and you won’t be disappointed.

We spent only one night at this hotel but we really enjoyed it. Our room was spacious, with a king bed (comfy mattress) and fireplace. While the furniture is extremely ornate - maybe a little too ornate - we had a nice view and a balcony to enjoy. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Niagara-on-the-Lake is a 3 minute drive but it's a busy little place so we were glad we were staying close but not in it. The complimentary continental breakfast was a surprise, and it was not the usual continental. Lots of walking trails closeby. We will definitely stay here again.

The Riverbend has recently become our “go to” staycation spot, this was our third stay. Gorgeous, old world charm without feeling dated (we had just come from Inn On the Twenty, and by comparison Riverbend felt more luxurious and updated, not to mention much better value). Each room we’ve stayed in has been impressive and very comfortable. Added touches like a welcome drink and a complimentary continental breakfast (pastry, cheese, hard boiled egg… available in the off season) and the ability to have an amazing dinner on the property, really give the Riverbend a luxury resort feel. Highly recommend. We will return!

One night stay with my daughter. The facility and room as expected, very nice, well appointed and kept. Dinner was excellent. The big dissapointment was the so called "continental" breakfast. Being european and living in France we know what a continental breakfast is. This one missed by a mile. The croissant served was stale and hard as a rock! My qualified guess is that it was an industrial product from the supetmarket, and minimum 2 days old, likely older. The tiny slices of fruit served, alltough not normally part of a "continental", were not fresh. We could not eat any of this, and left it hardly touched. The waitress had the nerve to ask if we "enjoyed the breakfast". If this place intend to attract customers paying 250 dollar a night they must do something about the breakfast and the rude breakfast staff. Just dropn it, as I would rather pay extra to get something edible that would match the rest of the experience, which was excellent.

Came over from Cleveland for a quick getaway. The inn is beautiful and clean and includes a small bar and restaurant. The staff was definitely the highlight since the inn is smaller you see the same friendly faces. The manager to our server to the front desk were all helpful even when my wife felt the need to sit outside in the cold (they started a fire pit for her). Can not recommend it enough and we will see you again when it’s warmer

I was visiting Toronto for a business conference, my sweetie surprised me with a two night stay in the country afterwards. The grounds are beautiful as you can see by all the photos. At check in they gave us a glass of champagne, very nice touch. The room was very spacious with a lovely gas fireplace. We had dinner the first night at the Inn, it was delicious as well as romantic. The next day we took two complimentary bikes and went into town for lunch then travelled around to do some wine tasting. Overall we had an excellent time, everyone was so helpful and friendly. We wouldn't hesitate to return.
