We came into town for an overnight, on a Saturday no less, and there was a lot of people and activity. We were surprised at the size of the property, and that is was conjoined to the StayBridge. SB is our go-to, but the higher price made us choose the HIX. We were not disappointed.

We were very pleased that the staff honored all of our preferences from our profile and as requested in our reservation. The room was very clean. This has not been our usual experience lately with HIX. There was an abundance of towels in the bathroom, and the lights were very bright in both the bath and the room which was a nice change, again, from the usual HIX experience.

Breakfast at 930am on Sunday morning was packed! Literally not an open chair to sit in, but there were trays provided for taking food elsewhere so we decided to take ours back to our room. The food was really well-stocked and rotated which made us very happy. It was also better quality than we have seen lately in the US.
So again, far better than our usual HIX experiences lately.

Is the difference Canada vs US? No idea, but this was a really great experience. We would definitely choose this property again.

It was exactly what we expected from a holiday inn express. Lobby was bright and inviting. Staff was friendly. They had sofas and TV in the lobby. Pool was clean. Room was clean. Bed was good. Shower/bathroom clean. Continental Breakfast (included) was nice - coffee, tea, juice, bagels, pancakes, eggs, bacon, baked beans, apples and bananas. The Staybridge suites on the other side of the hotel had their own breakfast room. If you want a nicer breakfast buffet, stay there. Free parking. It's right off the freeway. Central location across from the huge outlet mall, close to St Catherine, Niagara-on-the-lake, and lots of wineries. The only drawback was that it's literally next to the freeway, so we heard the rush hour traffic in the morning.

We had a charity golf tournament and had over 20 rooms booked. We had issues from the start with them changing rates on our guests and missing rooms from the rate code. They charged us a room charge when an emergency happened and a player couldnt come. After booking so many rooms that’s low!
