We stayed at the Doubletree for one night recently while visiting the falls, as a family of 4.
Our room on level 12 looked towards the Niagara river and we could see across to USA. It didn’t have a view of the falls (but we didn’t book a Fallsview room). The room was very comfortable and well equipped.
The hotel is an older property but is well presented and had a coffee maker and big tv in the room. Parking was available at $25/night. We used the swimming pool and hot tub and these were a good place to relax after a long drive.
The hotel is walking distance to the falls, Clifton Hill and the major restaurant districts. There is a bar on the entry level but it appeared dull and largely empty during our stay.
Downsides- while at other Hilton properties in Canada I can check in online and get the room key without needing to go to the front desk, at this hotel I needed to go to the front desk where it took some time to get checked in. I had already selected a room on the app so I don’t know why this step was needed, compared to properties in Toronto.
The Wifi in the room was patchy and made it hard to do basic things online (and impossible to do FaceTime calls without interruption).
This hotel is a good quality hotel in a reasonable location which I would happily recommend for a short stay.
