My fiancé and I were enjoying the freakishly warm weather May 1st and decided we would stop by Spencer’s to hang out on the patio and have a late lunch.
This is the best patio in Burlington on a nice day. Beautiful views with soft jazz playing in the background makes you think you are in a place like Miami, if you imagine real hard;)
We had a couple glasses of wine and shared three dishes:
Prosciutto wrapped cantaloup, which came with a chunk of honey comb. This was a beautifully presented dish and tasted very good, perfect balance or sweet and salty.
Lemon pepper calamari, they also have chorizo in their calamari. This was also very good, how can fried calamari not be good?
Mussels and frites, which was done in a norther Africa style sauce. This dish was quite good but the African flavours were very mild, tomato was the main flavour. The mussels themselves were very fresh and plump.
The service was very good Which led to an all in all great experience. We have been to Spenser’s many times and it’s been hot and miss but we have always lucked out on our patio visits
