Some of the displays are a bit dated and worn but it is great place to learn about the people and geography of Central Canada. The Metis buffalo hunt diorama is very good and is a wonderful entrance to the natural history gallery. It seems that the museum has upgraded some exhibits in some galleries but left adjacent displays with an older (ie 1970s) feel. The highlight is the ship Nonsuch - a beautiful recreation of an actual ship. It was built and sailed on Hudson Bay before being installed in the museum. Kids were having a great time running around but we really appreciated the authenticity and the story . The Nonsuch is definitely a hidden gem in Winnipeg.
