This is not even close to Seattle Space Needle or Calgary tower but you can still see some good spots. Just went because i had an entertainment coupon (pay 1 get 1 free). Otherwise it is not worth to pay $16 a person to go upstairs.

The nice thing about your ticket is that if you came to see the lookout during the day, you could come back later and see the view at night too. You can get some good aerial pictures of the city from the tower. However, there are many buildings downtown that are tall than the tower, so you view is blocked in some directions. There was much else to do up there but look.
We went to the lookout early on a Sunday morning. The weather was a bit overcast so we didn't get a true picture of the city and the surrounding areas. Nevertheless, we saw lots of things that we wouldn't have noticed from the ground, thanks to the information panels located all around the tower. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The price was reasonable for two adults.
The Vancouver Lookout was included in our tour package - so we went along and did the tourist thing .... The views are fantastic and give anyone new to/visiting the city a great chance to find their bearings and see what the main points of interest are.
This tourist experience cannot continue to rely on the fact that it offers unparalleled views of the city as it is no longer the tallest building and the points of interest/information are out of date .... (EG some buildings that are pointed out no longer exist, have changed or can no longer be seen from the viewing platform due to new buildings having been built in front of them).
Having said all the above - it still overs great views and provides greater value for money as opposed to the Toronto Tower.
This is well worth a visit. The views of Downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park and the surrounding area are superb.
I know everyone will say the same, great way to see the city and its priced in a decent amount. You can use the same pass All Day! But also take your time to see everything and don't rush. I ended up getting there around 8:30 pm and stayed until they closed. Had a great chat and just sat there. Vancouver is amazing! So this is a great place to pace yourself. I loved it!
