Spent Saturday night celebrating and partying wonderful hospitality, great food & wine and service. The breakfast was just tight , followed by a brisk walk along the coastal path. Enjoyed the atmosphere - what a gem of a hotel. Will be back.

Great location and great welcome in a lovely environment. Looked after by Karen ,what a star ! Great place to chill ,lovely lunch ,it isn't cheap but you get what you pay for ,far nearer than travelling to Cornwall quality hotels which it reminds me of .

During a business trip to meet with new clients, I was taken to this lovely area of Dorset and introduced to The Seaside Boarding House.
We were welcomed in on a cold, rainy day by very polite receptionists that were very knowledgeable about their offers on produce for the weary ramblers along the South Coastal Path. (Our meeting had us 'walking and talking' a lot).
Ushering us in to a well appointed lounge area, we enjoyed their Cream Tea with - you guessed it, the special of the day the receptionist had told us of. Nice bit of up selling never goes amiss, especially when done so politely.
The views over the sea are stunning. Even in poor conditions, it was delightful to chat and occasionally look out to sea and watch the wildlife.
Thanks for your kind welcome, and we hope to visit you again one day soon.

Joining friends who were hosting a special birthday and taking all the accommodation - the atmosphere was very jolly from the off
All helped by the excellent staff.
Facilities - accommodation was all bright and clean and well presented
Breakfasts - worth getting up for
Location - what you would expect from a Seaside Boarding House
Restaurant - well worth the trip

Having heard that this was a place to visit over the last year or so we thought a brief stop for a drink during a walk along the beach on a Sunday lunchtime was a good opportunity to test the water. We were not disappointed. Excellent service from all the staff we encountered, probably the best coffee I've had recently and excellent views with a buzz of satisfied guests eating on the bar and restaurant. We will be back for more.
