I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and it was amazing and here's why...

    - spacious rooms with amazing bathrooms. Hot showers all the time!
    - food was amazing. I'm vegetarian and they cooked specific meals for me which was fantastic.
    - staff are unbelievably friendly and happy to chat.
    - Ram the guide at this hotel is phenomenal. I rate this hotel so highly due to Ram. His knowledge of the wildlife and where to spot animals was incredible. We saw a tiger!!! He also has an amazing camera so got some fantastic photos!!

Ram recommended that I spend one night in one of the towers. Which I did, absolutely beautiful experience and throughly recommend doing it!

The whole time I was at the Westwood I was catered to by a kind a aware staff. They always were ready when I had a question or request and they were never pushy, which was a huge relief after spending time in Kathmandu. They picked me up from the bus and organized my whole trip for me for a very reasonable price. I was able to see all the attractions I wanted and even a few extras I did not know existed. The hotel was clean, comfy and quiet. The food was delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend this hotel.

The Hotel Westwood is a good choice for a comfortable stay in Sauraha, Chitwan. The hotel has air-conditioned, reasonably sized en-suite bedrooms with a balcony and seating area.

The Westwood Hotel in Sauraha offers guests the opportunity to partake in various activities including:

    • Dugout Canoe Ride

    • Jungle Drive

    • Elephant Breeding Center

    • Elephant-back Safari

    • Tharu Village Tour

I liked the hotel, better than some of the others in the area and priced reasonably.

Westwood is a good hotel to book an allinclusive tour trough Chitwan. The rooms are clean, the guides are trained proper and the food is good. There is a small difference between the guides. two of them are really good and one of them was cranky all five days i spent there. If you make a booking i personally would recommand you to ask for guide Tharuk. He was the best guide i had trough my 4 month travel trough Nepal.
If you intend to stay more then 3 days in Westwood I personally shouldnt go to the buffet because they repeat their menu every 3 days so it gets kinda boring.
Another important thing to do is book directly at Westwood! Don't book tours trough traveling agencys in Nepal. If you book directly in Chitwan at any hotel you can save up to 30/50 dollars a person. And the hotels provide all the trips you can do in the area. When you make a booking inform about other people who booked for that period because you share alot of activities. Me and a couple from signapore were lucky we booked between two big groups of Chinese. Because we were a small group we gain alot of privilages like personal elephants while riding, private cars and they put us in front of all the tourist lines.

If you go to Westwood dont expect to meet alot of other travelers. most of the people travel in big groups and the bar is really poor so most of them hide in their rooms during the evening.

checked in on 6th April. A warm welcome by the receptionist with welcome juice. Rooms and toilets were very clean. Airconditioning was not working most of the time may be due to load sheding. Our package included breakfast, Lunch and dinner which was buffet. BUffet had european cuisines as the group in hotel were from france, but staff did arranged for indian meals especially for us. Service staff was really helpful. We had our food very well but indian food here is not recommended. As we were hungry after our days safari and various events we had whatever was being served. European style food was good but indian food requires improvement, may be chefs are not very much familiar with same. The eventa organised by the hotel which included elephant showering, elephant breeding centre, canoeying ride, jungle walk and tharu village and culture dance was worth watching and enjoying. The guide was really helpful providing essential information. We had to leave 1 day early from the hotel though we had 2 days package due to fear of strike in nepal as the next day theer would have beenno transport to our next destination. Hence we requested reception person to pack some bread butter to have on our way as shops were supposed to close dow due to strike. They arranged eoungh bread butter jam for us. Overall if i say good room, very good restaurant service staff and average food.

Room tip: ask for rooms on ground floor.
