Small friendly enterprise, enthusiastic and safety-oriented guide. Great for the whole family and an easy trip from Playa del Carmen.

Man, it's funny to come here to Tripadvisor to read the reviews, and see the name of our tour guide Felix all over them. Felix really is the man! Believe the hype! My wife and I showed up on our way from Tulum to Cancun, and dropped in for a quick tour/snorkel of Chaaktun. We **ALMOST** didn't go, and I'm really glad we decided to do it instead! We paid 35 bucks USD apiece and met with the Mayan Crazyman known as Felix. He was such a great tour guide, and a hilarious guy - a true free spirit. Felix showed us just about every nook and cranny of the caverns and educated us on Mayan history. It was truly a legendary experience and such a beautiful place. I feel like Felix gave us a little piece of himself in that tour. I would definitely suggest Cavernas Chaaktun to everyone I know. I've been to Playa before, and this is by far the best activity I experienced. DO IT!

Our tour of Chaak Tun cavernas and cenotes was beyond words! From the time we got there, about 8:30AM, our guide, Felix, so full of knowledge and information about the Mayan culture, led us for almost 3 hours on a tour that moved me to the core. Honestly one of the most Amazing, Peaceful, Calming, EXCITING and UNBELIEVABLE experiences in my life. I cannot wait to return. Felix, you were truly amazing and perhaps the Best, certainly the most knowledgable, tour guide that my husband and I have ever had. Thank you for a Wonderful adventure/experience! We hope to see you soon. You will be meeting MANY of our friends and family on their future trips to Playa del Carmen!!!!

Advise that website is not clear. It cost around $35 to do this with a guide. Rodrigo was great and knew the caves well. We had a group of 11 from 22 - 70 years old. There's a lot of walking so know before you go.

Water is clean and cool. The 2 cenotes are very natural in setting. Beautiful on a clear day. If you want to spend a day with denotes, i recommend Chak Tun and Dos Ojos. You will get the beauty below the water in Dos Ojos and the beauty above water in the caves at Chak Tun. We went in the afternoon and it was very pleasant and not crowded. At Chak Tun, they charged 240 ps for entry and 360 if you need equipment. I don't know if these are the normal prices but thats what we were charged. It is easy to go unguided at Chak Tun. bring your own mask and snorkel. Very easy!
