We spent a week in Casa Perla. This was our 3rd is it to the island and by far the best. The apparent is spacious and well maintained. The beds are super comfortable. The view is absolutely stunning. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking but there is also a very good restaurant just around the corner with pizza, seafood and meat. The apartment gets thoroughly cleaned 3 times a week and was spotless. The owner and the manager of the house are very responsive and help with everything you might need. Highly recommended if you are looking for something other than an all inclusive hotel.
We love Casa Perla! It is clean, modern and well maintained.Great mid island location, nice neighborhood. Walk to Mango or Caribbean Brisas, (both with in 2 min walk). Place for cart to park, easy to catch cab if no cart. Fully equipped kitchen and it is really clean.
Good water pressure, good sanitation plumbing, stinging hot showers and the beds are fabulous. The views are fabulous! All the pics on the website do not do it justice. Floor plan lends itself to couples or family and a large group could rent the whole house. This is a really comfortable house right on the ocean, it sets a new bar for what I expect in Isla, we are already rebooking for next November.
We had a wonderful week in Casa Perla. The location was great; in a small local neighborhood in the middle of the island. The condo was immaculate with everything you need including a breathtaking view each morning of the sunrise over the Caribbean. My kids loved the rooftop deck. Plenty of towels and kitchen dishes although we mostly ate out!
We rented a golf cart for the week and were able to tour around, from Punta Sur to Playa Norte and in between. Loved the Mango Café, Las Brisas (right down the hill!) the Soggy Peso and Playa Rancheros. We also loved the neighborhood cats and dogs who were all friendly and sweet. First time at the giant grocery store CHEDRAUI, and it was an experience! Everything from pastries to TVs to tequila and fresh produce. Fun!
Can't wait to return :)
My 2 teenage sons stayed here for 4 nights. The condo we stayed in was on the lower level, with 2 bedrooms and two baths. The beds were comfortable, and the water pressure in the showers was great. The outdoor patio is ocean front with great views, and a dipping pool. The condo provides pool towels which is nice. The beach below is rocky, so wear shoes. We did see people out snorkeling and spear fishing, but we didn't have time to partake. We loved our stay here, but must say we didn't spend a lot of time in the condo. We were greeted with a cold six pack of cold Corona. Very nice! The kitchen seemed to be well stock with all the necessary utensils, and appliances. We never cooked in, so I can't speak to that.
We loved the location. We were 5 minutes from North Beach by cab ($3-$5 each way). We loved not being in the crowds of North Beach. We also were not too far from south beach. The condo is located in a quiet neighborhood. Mango Cafe is a 2 minute walk away. Great lunch and breakfast. There was also a great ice cream shop on the corner which was a nightly stop for us. There is a grocery store within walking distance and a few other restaurants. Cabs went by frequently so getting one to go into North Beach was never an issue.
Overall we loved our stay here. Thanks for adding to great memories of Isla Mujeres.
This is the best place we've ever rented there (#1 of 5). I would rent this again in a heartbeat. In fact, I may not return to Isla if I cannot rent this place. :) It has the most comfortable bed I have ever rented in Mexico and my friend reported the same for the bed in the other bedroom. This place has all the reasons you go south for a week of ocean: view, breezes, a pool, in a real (aka non-tourist-filled) neighborhood. This place is awesome. It cemented Isla as our favorite island in the Caribbean for a week or a weekend away from the [fill-in-your-interstate-here] Beltway Grind! We dove the whole week with mid-island Casa del Buceo, waved down a taxi easily from to go place to place without the cost of a golf cart, and ate repeatedly one block down hill at the local Loncheria (Manolito? sp?). This place was great, great, great!
