I have to say the Staff were ALL Especially Friendly & Nice .. The Resort was Nice and Clean .. However, there were a few disappointing things; 1) we requested a King Bed but had 2 Queens; 2) We were only allotted 2 beers a day in our mini fridge and couldn't order alcohol through room service; 3) It was my birthday and we requested a bottle of champagne delivered to our room (the gal on the phone said No, but was also surprised we weren't gifted one anyway); 4) I was disappointed the Sales Staff didn't try to sell the Hotel more by showing us around (They just showed us one room); 5) They didn't inform us know what was going on around the Hotel for activities, would have been nice to have a daily activities sheet (if there were any activities, we didn't see any); 6) Would have been nice to be walked around the Resort, especially during the Sales Meeting; 7) we may have been more inclined to purchase, but pretty much all they talked about was Numbers/the Price

Grand Park Royal is absolutely incredible! I would definitely go back again. This resort is absolutely beautiful, which breathtaking views of the ocean. Amazing food, drinks and staff!! The Fantastico team is so much fun and was great at entertaining us- especially David and Pepe! They are great!

We have stayed at the Grand Park Royal many times since 1996 and it feels very familiar to us.
The pros: great location. The COVID practices were excellent at the hotel and all over the island - way ahead of the US! the staff as always are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. Our trip was an excellent value. Having a doctor on-site doing the required COVID testing was wonderful! Just made an appointment at the front desk and it was 30 minutes out of our day without leaving the resort!
The cons: There were obvious cut-backs due to the economy/pandemic, most notably in the food. You had to ask for toast or pastries at breakfast (not quite sure why as they were available at supper) The bars ran out of limes to make drinks, but there were tubs of them at the snack bar. Same old elevators that only some are working. The last Sunday we were there they must have had day-trippers come in as the place was packed and it was difficult to find beach chairs. Good for them, but annoying for us.
Cozumel is really hurting for the tourist dollar and the people there are working very hard. They are as always some of the friendliest, kindest, nicest people on the planet! We tipped a lot and often and it was appreciated! Cab drivers whose face lit up when we gave them 120 pesos for a 70 or 80 peso ride.
All-in-all a great trip for the money; don't expect champagne on a beer budget!
Also: Go to Woody's downtown! It is a block and a half up from Palmeras on the square and has live music and great food at great prices. Try the BBQ ribs which are terrific and only $11, and the melted queso and chips will have you coming back!

I highly recommend staying at this resort if you’re in Cozumel. I have stayed here in the past and have only had good experiences.
Overall everything was great. When we arrived to check in it was before 3pm and our room was ready for us. The resort has 3 beautiful pools, 1 of the pools is adult only that’s was a plus.
The food for being an all inclusive resort was good. Entertainment staff does a fantastic job, Pepe was great! If you’re worried about traveling because of covid, park royal does a fantastic job following safety protocols. This resort also offered free onsite covid test.
Look no more and book your stay here. You won’t regret it!!

So we arrived and our room was not ready? Interesting because they know we are coming. We are divers and this is not a dive resort don't expect it. Foods OK Service OK Very noisy place. We booked a package deal so for the money overall OK.
