The rental process went smooth but when we arrived in Cancun and picked up our rental car, trying to get a hold of the landlord took us a while. He gave us an address that Google maps wasn't picking up, when it finally did it was so confusing because in Cancun only the major streets have names. It took us way too long to get there, it was night time and for foreigners that are not familiar with the area... I wish the Landlord would have offered to pick us up, we would have followed him to the house. The house was nice, roomy, but the king bed mattress was so hard and uncomfortable I woke up sore every night. Same with the futton sofa in the tv area, my son woke up sore every night. Thank God for the air conditioners; although we only used them at night, they worked great and cooled the rooms fast.
The Landlord was very nice and provided us with maps, and restaurant information. We did buy groceries as we needed trough the week, but the location of the house is in a suburb area far from the beach and the attractions we visited. Tour buses or shuttles couldn't pick up at this location. We drove to a meeting point, so it was a good idea to rent a car. The enclosed community does make a safe place to stay, but we were out and about every day that we didn't get to enjoy the pool or park. The Landlord made himself available for questions or tour information but once he gave us the keys we didn't see him again until the day we left. It was a nice experience, we enjoyed the house, they provided everything we needed just like any hotel would. I would recommend it, our stay there was safe and semi-comfortable. It was worth the money we spent.
