“Tulum 1/2 day trip disappointing”

We booked the one trip during our 9 day stay in Cancun with BD Travel. We decided on the half day trip to Tulum. We were told that it would take 1 1/2 to 2 hours to travel each way. The driver was 10 minutes late to pick us up. Then proceeded to drive north for another pickup, which incidentally never showed up and we then drove back south passing our hotel which took us an additional 50 minutes!! All together it took us 3 hours to get to our destination. It was very hot, buggy and very crowded. The beach area at Tulum National Park was small and very dirty. This was not the Tulum we wanted to explore. Next time we will rent a car and visit the area ourselves. We also used BD Travel as our transportation to and from the airport. The day we were leaving, we had a 4pm pick up confimed. The van never came for us. We had to call the company and eventually they sent another van a half hour later.

I wanted to take a minute to thank Jose Amador and everybody at BD Travel and Riu Cancun. Me and my husband arrived on Thursday May 10th from Buffalo, NY.
We had issues with our room but he took care of it. He gave us the right info and we had a blast that weekend.
Thank you so much for all your help !!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward for the next trip we book to Cancun. Thanks Jose

I’ve been to serval a inclusive resorts and this is by far the worst ever. The service was horrible, the restaurants were average and they advertise that they have premium liquor and nothing about their well liquor was premium. Also this hotel is under construction and we were not informed of that prior to booking. I will definitely not recommend this resort to anyone!

BD Travel shuttled us to our resort from Cancun airport and back again mid-April. Had to wait an hour in dirty bus before leaving airport since the driver and tour guide let a group go buy beer and smoke a pack of cigarettes before leaving.
On return they put us in a small shuttle then stuffed it full of people from another resort who had missed their own shuttle. Our luggage was on bottom of pile and was squished by the driver trying to fit tons of extra bags in. Then she drove like a maniac. I was terrified we would rear-end someone as she sped up to cars with their brakes on.
She unloaded at aìrport and saw our damaged bag. Did not apologize, just tossed it at us. We had to get it taped up at check-in as it was gaping open. I emailed BD Travel with a photo of bag and description but they still haven't cared to respond weeks later. Won't use them again.

Best day did our shuttle between the hotel and airport. On the way to the hotel, they had the wrong location and drove us 1 hour passed our hotel.

Once at our hotel we confirmed our departure appointment with the onsite BD travel rep.

On the day of our departure for the airport we showed up 30 minutes before BD was to arrive. 50 minutes later I was on the phone (after 6 transfers and being hung up on once) being told they couldn’t find us in the system and it was likely no one was coming. We had to get a taxi to take us to avoid missing the flight.
