Incredible spa experience! Myself and my best just had the most incredible massages from Mary and Annette and the Heavenly Spa at the Westin Hotel. Truly a luxurious experience. The spa facilities coordinator Guadalupe showed us a wonderful time, attending to our every need and Amanda, the receptionist was lovely at check in. The hospitality at this spa and the resort in general is unlike anything I have have experienced before in Mexico. Ten stars!

I would’ve loved to recommend this resort but our experience was aweful. This is our second time staying at the Westin. First time experience was wonderful except for check in which is extremely slow. This time the whole experience was horrible. Very disappointed at Marriott. We booked months ago to ensure nice rooms with nice views (total of 3). Check in took an hour and an half. Our rooms were clean but the view was horrible so we asked to be moved to better rooms and they said no rooms are available. Of course if check in took an hour and a half more people came and took all the rooms. They told us we could move the next day but we would have to check out from our rooms at 10 and we won’t be able to get the new rooms until 4 which is check in time!!! I think this is ridiculous! When you have guests that are already in your hotel, why would you let them wait for 7 hours to get a room??? I’m writing this review at 5:30 and still no rooms. We called and complained to the manager and his response was sorry you feel this way!!! Honestly the resort is beautiful and people are nice but the check in and front desk people as well as the manager are rude and liars. To compensate for my family having to sit in the sun for seven hours waiting for our rooms is to let us check out early the day we’re leaving. Well our flight is at 1 so we have to check out around 9:30 so not sure what kind of compensation this is!
All they care about is sell you time shares. Extremely disappointing. I would love to hear from corporate on this horrible experience.

Great pool area. Big resort with lots of activities- mini golf, pickleball, nice gym, bingo, salsa dancing, etc. Great location walking distance to big mall, public bus access, restaurant…
Beach had seaweed when we were there but the water was a beautiful turquoise color and warm.
Sun is strong so make sure you take it easy and wear sunscreen!

This was the second time we went to Lagunamar and it was just as good as the last time.
The one downside this time was the check-in process as our room was not ready until past 6 pm.
If there's something to call out for this resort, it is the amazing staff. These guys always have a smile on their face and happy to help.
At the pool:
Alejandro and Jose Alejandro. These guys make all the pool activities and beach volleyball fun.
At the swim up bar or around the pool:
Marcos, Victor and William. These guys will have your drink ready as you swim up to the bar. They make you feel welcome all the time.
The property is well maintained and so are the rooms. The beach is really big and the infinity pool overlooking the water is a great place to drink and meet people. Highly recommend to families with children.

As a MVC owner; this has to be most displeased I’ve ever been overall. If you think that you’re going to go to a resort and enjoy a cold room where you can snuggle so much that you don’t want to get out off bed…this is not it. Their A/C does not circulate throughout the room. 2ndly how do you offer coffee in the room without bottled water. Every Marriott property regardless of price point provides free water! This almost took me out; they charge to replace your towels. Although they provide a washer and dryer; I’m on vacation and I’m not here to do laundry. Yes it helps to wash bathing suits etc., but towels. Again MARRIOTT properties do not charge to replace towels. I will never reside at another Westin property. Lastly the hotel staff is not that friendly compared to other resorts such as the Hyatt Ziva or Marriott properties.
The property itself is beautiful; pool, beach gorgeous .
