Vacation Club fractional ownership pressure here is INTENSE.
Check-in as guest… they ask if you will do the sales presentation.
Ask for ANYTHNG from desk during your stay… they are trained to tell you that you should really see the presentation.
Say no firmly decisively but kindly… they mark your reservation and then move to “tell us why” at every encounter.
Try to book an excursion… they call your “personal concierge” (sales agent) who insists you should want do the presentation.
Try to ask for something for your room, basic service… they call your “personal concierge.”
Say you’re trying to have a nice family vacation with no pressure… the next desk agent asks if you will do the presentation and if not “why not?”
It never ends, until you exit the property. I’m not sure, maybe they will follow me home too.
It isn’t nice or fun or about service. I really tried but they made it unpleasant to need anything other than a self service vacation with no encounters with staff.
I’m Bonvoy Platinum almost ten years running… I have seen a lot. This place is super EXTRA on the sales pressure. Make your own call if it’s what you want.
Just don’t think you can make it stop or not happen, no matter how nice or clear you are. It is the situation here… I’m here right now. May 2024.
