Very impressed with this resort...we were two couples who get away once a year. We could not have picked a better resort. Highly maintained...super clean...Service everywhere was top notch!! We had one bedroom/villa lock off...beautiful...balcony...faced the ocean and pool. Infinity pool, hot tub, swim up bar. Beach was incredible. Can`t wait to go back. William, who worked at the sports bar and swim up bar was an absolute gem and accommodating and very friendly.

This was our 2nd time at this hotel. Nice place and location. If you can't have a good time here then you need help. Get a massage from the staff at the hotel. Go fishing at cancun tarpon fishing Blue Ray marina and see Martin. Stay AWAY from the kiosks at the mall. Vida vacation timeshare is a huge SCAM.
William and Jorge work at the main pool bar. They remembered our names from 4 years ago. They are excellent workers and they alone could make you want to come back. Eat at Pizza Larita, LaMadonna at the mall. Dunas sports bar at the hotel had some good food too.

Beautiful property and my window over looked a ruin and the crystal blue water on the beach. Killer tortilla soup and service is amazing. Like most resorts here you are a little isolated so thankfully there is enough food and things to do here. Excited to some day use the kids club which seems amazing

We've got an 1 bedroom room with a Kitchen (fully equiped, including a dish washer machine), a table for six people, washer and dryer machines (for clothes) and two balconies facing the caribbean ocean. Amazing views!! The pools (one with a slide) and the beach are amazing as well. The hotel is in front of La Isla (the best mall, in my opinion), an open Mall with several stores and restaurants. There's a not expensive convenience store inside the hotel where you can have a cup of coffee, a yogurt, a fruit salad, or even buy some pasta to cook inside the room. Amazing!!!

Because it was our first trip to Mexico and Cancun, we read all the posts about the Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort. We were not disappointed. although we came on a four-night discount package, everyone treated us as a returning guest. It is a beautiful property and very well maintained. All of the grounds were perfect. Room amenities for the Villa were great, and the view from any of the rooms is the ocean and beach. From check-in with Juan, luggage with Angel, breakfast in Oceano with Henry as our waiter and Judith Estrada as our conceirge, the staff was exceptional. Although it was very windy off the ocean every day (red flags kept us out of the surf), the pools were outstanding. And warm. With the cool breezes, they were wonderful. And the beach was not only soft sand, but never hot like Florida. Miles of beach are perfect for walking. La Isla mall is across the street with many choices to eat (including reasonable choices for us picky Americans) and shop. Even Chilis was great food and service. Westin restaurants were good, but the Steak night on Wednesdays is not to miss. All you can eat of your favorite cuts and prepared as you desire. It is a pleasure to go to a resort that understands pampering people on vacation. We took the hotel shuttle at $85 round-trip total for up to four people and it was wonderful. We did the time-share presentation for the $100 resort credit and it was a great pitch, just not for us at this time. Fabiola was attentive and listened to our thoughts and was understanding when we passed on the offer. there were fun activities, but we were there to relax and we did. While it seemed not full, the pools are huge and could handle a full house. It is in the middle of the hotel zone and you feel very safe, although the images on the way to and from the airport remind Americans how fortunate we are to live without fear. We hope to go back again, as it is a fantastic property with amazing people who made us feel very special.
