My girlfriend and I enjoyed 6 nights here. Such a beautiful spot with lovely staff and delicious food and beverages. We would highly recommend for couples. Short walk down lots of stairs to playa la Ropa. The pool is a real highlight. Grounds are full of birds, trees, flowers and fish which makes a wonderful ambiance. Loved all the food and a great value. Room was kept spotless. Penthouse is worth it.

Room Tip: Reserve a table for dinner and enjoy spectacular sunset and delicious food. Alfredo's margaritas are amazing.

We really, really liked this place. The stairs are so worth it. Once you reach the check in desk and pool lobby you will be blown away by the views. We stayed in the Jalisco Penthouse (room 6) and were thrilled with our vista. We could not decide which was more beautiful, Zihua at night or during the day.

The staff were so nice and helpful. We had breakfast every morning and dinner one evening and everything was quite good from service, to the food and the wonderful scenery. Terry had excellent dining ideas in town.

Our room was kept very clean but the towels were pretty shabby. It seems like such an easy fix so hard to see why bright white towels aren't the norm in the bathroom and fluffy beach towels at the pool and on the terrace.

The whole time we were there we felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was an easy, though hilly walk, to La Ropa and town which to me makes it the ideal place to stay in Zihuatanejo. We will certainly be back next year. We just loved the whole area. We always felt welcome and safe.

Great place, the view is spectacular ! All the food was top end and the prices were very good, we will be back. The service was a ten out of ten and we wanted for nothing, the property is not for any one with mobility problems because of all the stairs! A real hidden Jem! We would advise to tip the people in person that you want to tip, rather than leaving some one in charge of getting the tips split up evenly!?

Room Tip: Pen house has the best view of the bay and town, we think the next one down with the covered deck would be nicer

This was our second stay at the Casa Cuitlateca, with our first being six years ago. We arrived at noon on Thursday and were welcomed with margaritas and guacamole and chips. Our room, the Oaxaca (#5) was spotless and the view was incredible. The staff were excellent, caring and efficient. Terry, the owner, was also there to welcome us. He is a working owner, always busy doing work on the property. The property has 125 stairs which beautifully shows off the property as you're making the ascent/descent. When walking from Playa la Ropa beach, you will be very hot by time you make it back to the hotel. The bar for a cold drink and infinity pool to cool you off will be right there to meet you. We would whip off our cover ups and order up a Margarita and into the refreshing pool to cool down and lounge before enjoying the Casa Margarita. MMMmmmm!!

The kitchen's chef, Elena, has been around the area for awhile. We especially enjoyed her blanco ceviche and octopus shashimi but her other meals were just as excellent. Our first dinner was a white posole (daily special), onion soup and whole red snapper with Guajillio Chilis; it was really, really good!! A special was offered each day for lunch that was delicious and affordable. Thank you Terry and staff, we will return again!

Room Tip: Oaxaca room is in my opinion the best room, Private and with a roof as it did rain.
